Valgus Angle 6 degrees Left 8 A. Distal Femoral Resection Step Drill 9304-3001 IM Rod 9304-3002 Femoral IM Alignment Guide 9304-2101 I nstruments Access Canal With the ACL removed, the location of the typical femoral entry hole is deemed to be slightly medial to the center of the intercondylar notch, and approximately 5 to 7 mm anterior to the insertion of the PCL. Use the Step Drill to create an opening into the femoral canal. The drill is inserted to a depth of approximately 100 mm into the femoral canal. This allows for depressurization of the canal when the IM Rod is inserted. Set Femoral Valgus Angle The Femoral IM Alignment Guide allows 11 degrees of valgus angle adjustment. The ideal valgus angle should be determined according to pre-operative planning.
