4 Attach the Distal Femoral Cutting Guide 10 to the Distal Femoral Alignment Guide 9 . To secure the cutting guide, two 3.2 mm Twist Drills 11 are drilled into the "0" hole site on the distal femoral cutting guide. Prior to cutting the distal femur, additional fixation may be achieved by utilizing the Quick Pin Driver 12 to place additional pins in the medial and lateral pin holes. Once the instrument is secured, the resection is performed through the most distal slot in the instrument by using is a standard .050" (1.27 mm) thick saw blade. NOTE : The +3 mm slot option may also be selected for use if the surgeon wishes to resect an extra 3 mm thick distal bone.
