The U-MOTION II+™ cup designed by UNITED ORTHOPEDIC CORPORATION (UOC) is a press-fit acetabulum with a porous TPS Plus™ (titanium plasma spray) coating that increases the contact area, thereby improving primary stability and secondary fixation.
Ceramic and XPE inserts are available in different diameters.

The U-Motion II Plus™ Acetabular System uses the new TPS Plus coating (Titanium Plasma Spray Coating) to achieve superior surface roughness (Ra)
This surface roughness promotes optimum primary hold during implant impaction (scratch-fit). The roughness has also been shown to reduce micro-movements. Both of these effects contribute to the long-term fixation of the implant.

The U-MOTION II+™ inserts optimise the use of large heads of up to 40 mm in diameter. This promotes a satisfactory range of motion in line with the cup size, and reduces the risk of cam effect, especially in combination with the UTF™ stem neck.
